SHEQ POLICY

Wade Walker is aware that their related activities have the potential to expose employees, and others, to health and safety risks, and that it can lead to environmental impacts. Wade Walker has developed a culture of zero tolerance with regard to incidents and accidents, and management accountability for Safety, Health and Environmental issues.

To achieve this, Wade Walker has implemented, and is committed to, a SHEQ management process which strives for continual improvement in the process of enhancing the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management system to achieve improvements in overall performance in line with Wade Walker’s policy and which ensures effective measures to prevent injuries, illness, property damage, process loss, pollution and environmental contamination.

Wade Walker is further committed to compliance with all relevant Statutory requirements.

Wade Walker is committed, and undertakes to:-

  • Implement and comply with a risk based framework for establishing and reviewing SHEQ objectives.
  • Continuously monitor, measure and review the effectiveness of management and workplace performance against local and international standards, company SHEQ objectives and targets, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Ensure that all potential hazards to which People, Property, Processes and the Environment are exposed , due to the activities of Wade Walker, are identified and that the Risks attached thereto are properly assessed and that effective control measures to manage such risks are implemented.
  • Develop and provide adequate and sufficient resources to implement and maintain the SHEQ Management System and to achieve the SHEQ objectives contained therein, which include training employees in the relevant areas of SHEQ management.
  • Provide adequate supervision, training, instructions and information to employees regarding the related HIRA policy required to perform any task.
  • Supply employees with all the necessary means and safety equipment to fulfil their duties without risk to health and safety.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment designed for a specific purpose are used and operated for that purpose, in a way that is without risk to the health and safety of employee/s or person/s that may be directly affected by such activities and that measures are in place to minimize energy wastage.
  • Investigate, without prejudice, all SHEQ incidents, accidents, or issues that may arise, and to report such findings, and overall SHEQ performance both within the organisation and to other interested parties.
  • Actively participate in open dialogue with employees, regulatory agencies, local communities and other affected parties, where such needs arise, in order to increase knowledge and mutual understanding in matters of common concern, and to exchange information through toolbox talks, safety meetings, safety committees and communication during inspections.
  • Produce and supply products of the highest quality to timeously satisfy the needs of our customers.
